We at Wombleton Records, as we prepare for our upcoming buying trip to England & Scotland next week, have had the last-minute inspiration to clear out some 45s to make room for the incoming shipment of goodies. Additionally, a friend of ours will be selling hundreds of 70s & 80s soul, r&b, disco & pop 45s at cheap price points $1.00, $2.00. None of these have seen the light of day- and we haven’t had time to screen for rare boogie, so get yourselves over to Wombleton this upcoming Sunday May 13th between noon & 6pm.
In the store we’ll have the following discounts for ONE DAY ONLY… including on our recent white hot Holland arrivals (glam, cosmic disco, post-punk) which we normally wouldn’t put on sale for another two or three months, so come scoop it up!
Reggae 45s (designated boxes) will be 50% off!
All other 45s $20 & under will be 25% off.
Over $20 45s are 10% off, plus:
Hundreds and hundreds of $1 singles on the sidewalk- cheaper the more you buy!
Also I will have already gone through a bunch of stuff that’s been sitting for a while and marked them down, so there will be double-dip savings THIS SUNDAY ONLY!
AND we’ll offer additional quantity deals if you stack/stock up this Sunday.
More news:
Wombleton is starting a monthly DJ Party at a real ‘class’ joint called MONTY BAR downtown. Our new night, THE WOMBLE HOP, will happen on the first Sunday of every month. We had our freshman initiation party last weekend (smashing time had by all) and we’re doing a one-off at the same venue TONIGHT (Friday May 11th 10pm til late) with DJ buddies Ian Marshall & Chad Brown! (see flyer below)
Lastly, please befriend Wombleton Records spokesperson & resident Womble Hop DJ Alfie Noakes on facebook if you’d like to be kept up to date on upcoming events & sales. We like to keep our email list mailings to a minimum, so please ‘friend’ Alfie for a less confrontational slew of updates from us here at Wombleton.
Alfie will be sure to tell you all about our upcoming secret live gig at Wombleton featuring a legendary New Zealand band who began in the early 1980s on Flying Nun Records. Stay tooned for more on that!
